Gwen and Trent

it was 2 years after the 5th season of total drama. I was walking in the park when it started to rain. i started walking back toward my car when i saw a figure sitting in the distance. who would want to sit out in the rain? I looked closer to see her hair was teal, the same color as...no it couldn't be. she turned her head in the direction of the trees and i could see it. yes, it was Gwen, my girlfriend in the first 2 seasons of total drama. we had already settled all of our differences but we hadn't seen each other in a year. i had thought about her a lot though, i wrote songs about her, about how i still loved her. i was suddenly only a few feet away from her. had i been walking toward her with my thoughts. she looked at me and stared for what seemed like forever.
"Trent?" she said though it wasn't really a question.
"y-yeah. hey Gwen" i said kind of awkwardly. I didn't know if i should ask her how her day was or if i shouldn't because i was her ex-boyfriend. she seemed to sense my hesitation and talked.
"well your probably wondering what i'm doing in the rain right" she asked. I just nodded slightly and she chuckled.
"I like feeling the rain on my skin, it's warm and smooth, it calms me. I-I've been really stressed lately." she looked down and ran her fingers through the wet grass. I sat down, just because she wasn't my girlfriend doesn't mean i don't have to be concerned.
"whats wrong, if you don't mind me asking." 
"oh well..." she hesitated then sighed, "Courtney's back with Duncan and she's kind of shutting me out. I don't think she trusts me, I mean I'll ask her how their date went and she'll give me a dirty look. I've told her a million times that i'm way over him. I just want my best friend back." Gwen said. I felt really bad for her I wish there was something I could do for her.
"well Gwen... you can always talk to me i'll always be here you."  she smiled and looked at me.
"thanks Trent i can always talk to you." she said. I heard a beep and looked on my phone. Darn it i was going to be late for My parents Family dinner.
"sorry Gwen I got to go, my parents are inviting everyone over for a party." I said standing up.
"ok" she said and stood up too, "hey um... it's going to rain again tomorrow and uh... i'll be here, if you want to stop by." she said. I stopped and smiled at her.
"yeah, i'd like that. Bye"
